New Service LinesearchbeforeUdig.co.uk to be launched

Merger creates Great Britain’s most comprehensive ‘safe working’ portal

Linesearch.org and BeforeUdig are joining forces to deliver Great Britain’s most powerful, free to use, online enquiry portal for utility infrastructure information. This service will be known as LinesearchbeforeUdig.

LinesearchbeforeUdig is a free to use internet based, search enquiry system available 24/7, which any 3rd party company or private individual may use to make asset enquiries on-line before commencing or planning works.

The site will provide a single point of contact for all enquiries relating to the apparatus owned and/or operated by the Asset Owners protected by LinesearchbeforeUdig, which will total over 200,000 kms of assets including underground and overhead distribution electricity networks, transmission gas/oil pipelines and fibre optic cable networks. This will include all the current Asset Owners who are members of Linesearch.org plus the Asset Owners of LinesearchbeforeUdig

All enquirers will receive an instant response to their initial enquiry advising if their location is inside/outside zone for the LinesearchbeforeUdig Asset Owners. This filtering process results in faster response times for the enquirer and vastly reduced numbers of outside zone of interest requests for the Asset Owners.
